Civil Cad Designer

Civil CAD DesignerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Civil CAD Designer to join our team and support various land development projects in central Ohio. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with staff, clients, and contractors and demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. This role involves preparing civil engineering drawings for site development, including stormwater drainage, sanitary sewers, waterlines, and storm sewers. A strong understanding of State of Ohio and local agency design and approval requirements is essential. Our innovative and technology-driven company values motivated individuals who enjoy learning new technologies.Responsibilities+ Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings for site development, including stormwater drainage, sanitary sewers, waterlines, storm sewers, and supporting design information.+ Develop construction drawings and CAD models using AutoCAD Civil 3D.+ Assist in the design of stormwater management systems, sanitary sewer, water distribution, and roadway alignments.+ Develop surface grading plans using contours and spot elevations.+ Import and interpret survey data, aerial imagery, and GIS files.+ Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and other design professionals to ensure project accuracy and compliance.+ Perform quantity takeoffs and assist in cost estimation.+ Support permitting processes by preparing documentation and responding to agency comments.+ Maintain project files and adhere to company drafting standards and QA/QC procedures.Essential Skills+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.+ 5+ years of experience in site civil design, including grading, site layout, stormwater drainage, sanitary sewers, waterlines, and storm sewers.+ Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet strict deadlines.+ Proficiency in grading design, surface development, feature lines, pipe parts libraries, and pipe networks.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Civil Engineering degree.+ EIT or PE certification.+ Survey CAD experience.Work EnvironmentThe position involves working four days in the office and one day remotely, with flexibility for a hybrid schedule under special circumstances.
