Prefab Scheduler

Position Summary: Prefab Scheduler plans and schedules work in the Prefab shop to ensure an efficient workflow, quality build of prefab assemblies; maintain adequate information flow to the assembly floor; to assist in maintaining inventory balances acceptable to management; and fulfill customer demands and assist Prefab Manager in maintaining an efficient order process within the entire prefab facility. Position Responsibilities: Promote health and safety in the Prefab shop Promote safety processes and procedures Report unsafe and unethical practices to manager Keeper of the check book Bucket system: plans 3-week look ahead Drop box ? manifest Maintains a positive working environment with employees and internal and external customers Prefab committee members ? responsible for meeting agenda, notes/minutes and follow-up item completion and tracking Responsible for coordinating prefab requisitions for divisions, monitoring and adjusting the daily schedule to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner Maintain accurate lead times to ensure proper planning and communication Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and demonstrate adaptability in an ever-changing environment Assist Prefab Manager in planning timely building and delivering of Prefab requisitions to all divisions as needed. Seek out and share innovative ideas on ways to improve our prefab process, ways to improve efficiencies and communicate them out to the field. Participates in professional organized meetings for the improvement of knowledge on prefabrication best practices Assists in maintaining inventory balances acceptable to management Performs other duties as requested and assigned
