CIG focuses on revitalizing communities while delivering strong risk-adjusted returns to investors through disciplined execution and operational expertise.CIG’s leadership team has a combined 100+ years of real estate and investment experience, with a historical net IRR exceeding 37% across all realized investments since 2011. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary of $130K+, commensurate with experienceComprehensive health and dental insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysIn-office environment at our Chicago headquarters — a collaborative, ownership-driven cultureTHE ROLEClear Investment Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the firm’s accounting operations across multiple entities, properties, and projects.This role will manage and mentor Senior Property Accountants and the Accounts Payable Coordinator while supporting financial reporting, month-end close processes, budgeting initiatives, and operational controls. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically strong in real estate accounting, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.This position offers significant exposure to real estate investment operations and long-term growth potential into senior finance leadership roles. WHAT YOU’LL OWNAccounting Operations & Financial Reporting Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and propertiesManage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesReview and approve journal entries, general ledger activity, and balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare and review monthly financial statements and management reporting packagesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiativesMaintain and improve internal accounting controls and operational workflowsTeam Leadership & Development Directly supervise Senior Property Accountants and the Accounts Payable CoordinatorAssist team members with prioritization, deadline management, and professional developmentEnsure accounting deliverables are completed accurately and timelyPromote a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environmentProperty & Investment Accounting           Support property-level financial analysis and reportingAssist with fund accounting and investor reporting activitiesCoordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and third-party consultantsPartner cross-functionally with Acquisitions, Asset Management, Leadership, and Operations teamsSupport ad hoc accounting, finance, and operational projects as needed WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred5+ years of accounting experience requiredAt least 3 years of real estate accounting experience preferredPrior management or supervisory experience requiredStrong understanding of GAAP and property accounting principlesExperience managing month-end close and financial reporting processesExperience with Yardi or similar property accounting software preferredStrong communication, organizational, and project management skillsAbility to manage priorities across multiple entities, properties, and projectsComfortable working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environmentStrong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) GROWTH OPPORTUNITYThe ideal candidate is eager to learn, proactive, highly collaborative, and excited to contribute to a growing and entrepreneurial investment platform -- This role provides growth potential in our organization within marketing and IR with an opportunity to run a comprehensive marketing and outreach program across the organization. CLEAR INVESTMENT GROUP  ·  105 W Madison Street, Suite 500, Chicago, ILclearinvestmentgroup.com
