Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a skilled nursing and assisted living setting, focusing on diagnosing and treating various skin conditions. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations. Diagnose and treat dermatological conditions, providing appropriate management plans. Administer treatments such as botulinum toxin injections, dermal fillers, and esthetic laser treatments. Perform minor surgical procedures including suturing and specimen collection. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and follow-up. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on skin care, treatment options, and preventive measures. Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed. Skills The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes but is not limited to: Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks. Experience with critical care, acute care, pediatrics, geriatrics, and emergency medicine. Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy related to dermatology. Strong patient assessment skills and experience in triage situations. Ability to perform IV insertion, venipuncture, catheterization, and basic life support. Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic technique. Experience in outpatient settings including urgent care and primary care clinics. Competence in managing patients with chronic conditions such as infectious diseases or those requiring hospice & palliative medicine.
