Job DescriptionJob Title: Organic Inspector (1099 Contractor) Location: Flexible / Regional Travel Required; OH/PACompensation: Per inspection / contract-based (1099)About the Opportunity: We are partnering with a reputable organization in the organic certification space to identify an experienced Organic Inspector to support a growing portfolio of clients. This is a 1099 contract role offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work across a diverse range of organic operations.Key Responsibilities:Conduct on-site organic inspections for: Crop production operationsPoultry and livestock facilitiesHandling and processing facilitiesReview organic system plans and verify compliance with USDA National Organic Program (NOP) standardsCollect detailed audit information, including records, inputs, and operational practicesPrepare and submit accurate, timely inspection reportsMaintain professionalism and neutrality while interacting with clientsQualifications:Prior experience in organic agriculture, auditing, or inspection preferredIOIA (International Organic Inspectors Association) training strongly preferredWorking knowledge of USDA Organic / NOP standardsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage scheduling/travelExcellent written communication and reporting abilitiesValid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territoryIdeal Candidate:Background in agronomy, animal science, or organic productionExperience with multiple operation types (crops, livestock, processing)Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and professionalismIf you're passionate about agriculture and want to play a key role in maintaining organic standards from farm to finished product, this is a great opportunity to step into a high-impact, flexible position.
