Windup Operator (Machine Operator)

This position will work within a team of other production staff and will be based in our Chicago, IL office. This role will require candidates to be able to work 12-hour shifts. We are currently taking applications for our night schedule which is 7pm - 7:15am. Crews work three 12-hour shifts one week and then alternate to four 12-hour shifts following week providing 8-hours of overtime.Key Role And ResponsibilitiesFolds, winds, cuts, processes, and packages all materialsProperly handles all scrap material from machineMaintains supply of all componentsControls speed and settings of wind-up equipmentWorking on or next to diesProperly threads machinesProperly cleans equipment and surrounding areaUpon direction, adjusts speed and temperatures, operates switches, valves and other adjustments on equipmentSkillsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious manufacturing experience a plusAbility to work independentlyAbility to lift products ranging from 2 pounds to 60 poundsAbility to read measuring devices and basic math skillsApplicant must be able to pass pre-employment screening, background check, physical and drug screening (including marijuana) processes to be eligible for employment.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
