Controls Engineer

Job SummaryPratt & Whitney is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, troubleshoot, and support industrial automation systems in an aerospace manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and support Siemens S7/TIA Portal and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix PLC systems.Develop and troubleshoot WinCC, FactoryTalk View, and Ignition HMI/SCADA systems.Configure Kepware KEPServerEX and support OPC-based data integration with MES/SCADA systems.Work with OPC UA/DA, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and MQTT protocols.Support connectivity and automation for CNCs, CMMs, test rigs, and legacy aerospace equipment.Troubleshoot production equipment, reduce downtime, and improve system reliability.Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and IT teams on controls and data-integration projects.Maintain technical documentation and support AS9100 and industrial cybersecurity standards.Required SkillsSiemens S7-1200/1500, TIA Portal, WinCCAllen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000FactoryTalk View SE/MEKepware KEPServerEX & OPC communicationsPLC programming: Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function BlockIndustrial communication protocols: OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, ModbusExperience with CNC and aerospace manufacturing equipmentStrong troubleshooting and cross-functional communication skillsPreferred: Omron PLCs/Sysmac Studio and Heidenhain machine controls.
