The organization focuses on enabling clinicians to deliver better care through efficient, reliable diagnostics and data-driven decision-making.About the OpportunityThe Field Service Engineer supports the organization by installing, maintaining, and repairing laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role provides on-site technical support and preventive maintenance to clinical and research laboratories across the New England territory, contributing directly to maintaining critical diagnostic capabilities and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities• Troubleshoot, install, validate, and repair laboratory equipment.• Perform preventive maintenance and modifications on diagnostic instruments.• Provide technical training to customers on products.• Maintain accurate service logs and internal records.• Order repair parts and adhere to service cycle times.• Use business systems for planning and advancing team goals.• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.• Assist in training newer Field Service Engineers.Requirements• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent military experience.• Minimum of one year diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, or instrumentation.• Experience managing a dynamic service schedule with travel across an assigned region.• Ability to complete service documentation, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions independently.• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.• Willingness to travel up to 100% within the assigned territory with occasional overnight stays.Pay Range and Compensation Package• Hourly pay range: $38.00 to $40.50• Eligibility for bonus and incentive pay.Benefits & Perks• Paid time off.• Medical, dental, and vision insurance.• 401(k) retirement plan.Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
