Every day, we make a difference in families' lives.Are you ready to join as a Seasonal Kitchen Assistant? In this role, you'll be responsible for dishwashing, set up and breakdown of service lines at meals, assisting the Culinary Director and Assistant Chef in the preparation and service of semi-homemade healthy camper-friendly meals for 50-150 people, maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen areas and equipment.What you'll be doing (with training and a team):Assist in set up and service of mealsAssist in completion of daily food prep workAssist maintaining stock of grab and go snacks and salad bar itemsMaintain cleanliness of dish pit including industrial dishwasher and 3 compartment sinksAssist in maintenance of inventory including rotating stock and putting away weekly deliveryDaily closure of the Camp Korey kitchen including sanitation of all surfaces, sweeping, mopping, garbage and recycling, and laundryWhen needed, in support of campers and families, provide personal care to campers who require assistance with the acts of daily living.What you'll need to bring (necessary requirements):Commit to the entire length of the contract term: JUNE 1st - AUGUST 16th 2026Ability to "go with the flow" in schedule, people, and program changes.Willingness to be uncomfortable, have hard moments, and be open to changing.Ability to learn and use necessary computer software (equivalent of social media).A continuous improvement mindset to the services provided and your own growth.Physical ability to sustain 10+ hour days of activities, functional ability to clean and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.Certificates/ Licenses/ Registrations necessary to meet Camp Korey requirements:Immunization history with current vaccines and boosters incl COVID & Hep AMust obtain CPR/AED certification within first week of employmentAcceptable background check clearanceMust obtain WA State Food Worker's Card in advance of start dateWe'd love it if you already had (preferred requirements):Camp experience! Especially work experience!
