This position is responsible for performing a wide range of custodial and sanitation duties to support daily operations and ensure compliance with site safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and contributes to a team-oriented environment while supporting SSR Mining’s core values of Safety First, Always; Better Together; and Be Excellent.Day To DayMaintain cleanliness of office spaces, restrooms, breakrooms, and plant facilitiesSweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors, carpets, and surfacesEmpty trash receptacles and replenish supplies such as soap, paper products, and cleaning materialsClean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch areasSpot clean walls, glass, and other surfaces as neededComplete supply requests and maintain inventory of cleaning materialsClean and sanitize mobile equipment cab interiors (steering wheels, controls, handles, etc.)Vacuum floor mats and upholsteryClean cab windows, mirrors, and interior surfaces for visibility and safetySteam clean and shampoo upholstery as neededFollow all site safety procedures, including Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) requirementsMaintain a strong focus on safe and environmentally responsible work practicesWork collaboratively with maintenance, operations, and other departmentsFollow direction and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervisionIs This You??Previous custodial, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience preferredExperience using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and power cleaning toolsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detailAbility to follow safety procedures and site protocolsWorking Conditions & EnvironmentWork performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including office, plant, and mining areasExposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditionsFrequently standing, walking, and performing repetitive cleaning tasksAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionallyFrequent bending, stooping, and reachingAbility to work in low-light conditions and maintain awareness of surroundingsThe summary provided is a basic outline of duties for the Custodian role and is not all-inclusive.
