Senior Full Stack JavaScript Engineer

Overview As a Senior Engineer at GameStop, you will shape and deliver features across the full stack, from UI components to server functions that integrate with Salesforce and third-party APIs. You’ll set technical direction within your domain, review architectures, and mentor peers. The role is onsite in Grapevine, TX, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalable, SSR-driven experiences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful impact in a fast-paced ecommerce environment. ResponsibilitiesDesign and build features across routes, UI components, and server-function layers interfacing with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and other servicesWrite server-side data-fetching and mutation logic following established patternsCreate strict, type-safe TypeScript code with Zod validation at API/form boundariesDevelop and maintain Chakra UI theme, design tokens, and reusable UI primitivesOwn performance and reliability of a server-rendered app (SSR, Core Web Vitals, production monitoring via New Relic)Write unit tests for data transformations and validation; contribute to Cypress end-to-end testsCollaborate with SFRA and OIDC teams to ensure storefront integration with authentication and legacy Salesforce cartridgesParticipate in code reviews and uphold architecture and folder-structure conventionsMentor engineers and evolve technical standards as the codebase grows Key requirements5+ years of professional experience building production React applicationsExpert-level React and TypeScript practicesExperience with a full-stack/server-rendered React framework (e.g., TanStack Start, Next.js, Remix) and modern Vite-based toolingStrong understanding of state management tradeoffs: server state, form state, and local UI stateExperience integrating REST APIs from front end and/or server layer (Axios or similar)Experience with a component library or design system (Chakra UI, MUI, or similar)Comfort writing tests and working with e2e test suites (Cypress/Playwright)Experience in a fast-paced ecommerce environment, including familiarity with checkout and payment flowsProficiency with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelinesStrong communication skills and experience mentoring other engineersstrong communicationmentoringcollaborationReactTypeScriptTanStack Start / Next.js / Remix
