This is a waterfront restaurant focused on seasonal American cooking, regional seafood, and Hudson Valley sourcing. The pace is intentional, the standards are high, and the details matter. This role is for a chef who cares deeply about ingredients, execution, and the craft of cooking — someone who takes pride in building plates that reflect the product and the season. You’ll be responsible for: Supporting service with a focus on precision and consistency Assisting with seasonal menu execution and prep organization Working closely with local ingredients and evolving menus Training and mentoring cooks in technique and standards Maintaining a clean, disciplined, and focused kitchen We’re looking for someone who: Has experience in a scratch kitchen with seasonal menus Is detail-driven and consistent in execution Brings a calm, steady presence to service Wants to continue developing as a chef in a more refined environment The Cornell is a destination restaurant with a strong connection to local farms and producers — it’s a place for chefs who want to cook thoughtfully and grow their craft.
