Database Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced *Database Analyst / DBA* to provide analytical and operational support for data-related projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with *database administration, database analysis, data management, data quality, system improvement initiatives, and project coordination*.
This role will work with data from multiple databases, spreadsheets, case management systems, and other sources to identify missing or inconsistent information, validate records, improve data quality, and support department-wide data initiatives.
The successful candidate should be analytical, detail-oriented, comfortable working with large datasets, and able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze, review, and validate data across databases, spreadsheets, case management systems, reports, and other sources.
* Identify and investigate *data discrepancies, missing information, anomalies, and quality issues*.
* Analyze large datasets using *Microsoft Excel* and other data-analysis tools.
* Organize, filter, reconcile, summarize, and present data for operational and management needs.
* Maintain spreadsheets, reports, tracking tools, queries, and other data-quality monitoring resources.
* Update and maintain information in databases and case management systems using verified information and established procedures.
* Support data-related projects by gathering requirements, understanding business needs, and determining appropriate analytical approaches.
* Perform quality assurance reviews and identify opportunities to improve *data integrity, processes, documentation, and reporting*.
* Document analytical methods, findings, discrepancies, limitations, and completed work.
* Identify recurring data issues and recommend or implement appropriate solutions.
* Communicate findings and data concerns clearly to supervisors, subject-matter experts, and departmental staff.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams while maintaining confidentiality and following applicable data-security policies.
Required Skills
* Strong *analytical and problem-solving* abilities.
* Experience investigating and resolving data-quality issues rather than simply identifying them.
* Intermediate to advanced *Microsoft Excel*, including:
* Formulas
* VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and other lookups
* Sorting and filtering
* PivotTables
* Large dataset analysis
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify:
* Inconsistencies
* Patterns
* Outliers
* Missing information
* Data-quality issues
* Ability to understand relationships between information across multiple systems and data sources.
* Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar databases, case management systems, business processes, and data structures.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments independently.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to explain data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

* This is an *onsite position in Phoenix, AZ*.
* Assignment is scheduled to end *November 30, 2026*.
