The selected candidates will provide hands-on technical expertise, supporting the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of APS kits on various military vehicles and platforms. Individuals in this role will interact with U.S. military personnel, foreign supplier partners, vehicle prime contractors, and other stakeholders while operating at customer sites. Travel may include OCONUS trips. Ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required.Impact of the RoleGeneral ProfileRequires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational processWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelinesWorks with close supervisionPerforms manual tasks according to established proceduresEssential FunctionsSupports the engineering design and development of electrical control and automation systems and devices.Provides setup, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of electrical control systems and prototypes.Assists with testing of systems, devices, and instruments.Documents testing procedures, and measures and records performance results following established methods.Maintains the inventory of supplies and tools used for testing and maintenance.Additional ResponsibilitiesConduct diagnostic testing, identify system faults, and provide appropriate remedial actions in the field.Installs and calibrate various production system platforms to ensure proper functioning.Engage directly with customers, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in projects.Required Qualifications* Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or ExperiencePreferred QualificationsPreferred education and experience: Associate's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Technical training preferredKnowledge, skills & abilities: Electronic Equipment Installation. Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Software.Physical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.May need to stand for long periods of time.Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.May be requested to work a different shift.This position is Safety-Sensitive.Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.Travel RequirementsMore than 50% travel likely.Pay Range (USD)$47,090.00 - $63,710.00Pay Transparency StatementThe salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
