Sr./Staff, DevOps Engineer

This person will be a key player in driving new data and services strategies when it comes to infrastructure and AWS decisions for Merge, as well as being critical to delivering on re-architecture strategy as we scale the company.What you will doWith reliability and scalability in mind, work with the rest of the engineering team to produce highly performant architectures that extend to some of our largest customers, reading and writing millions of rows per second across numerous databases, workers, and servicesParticipate in roadmapping, architecture, and planning discussionsProduce high-quality, production-ready, maintainable infrastructure and codeLead large projects from initial inception to productionUnblock and support your team of peersParticipate in on-call rotation and system maintenance activitiesThe ideal candidate will have4+ years of full-time DevOps experienceDeep experience with Terraform, AWS, and KubernetesAbility to own the planning and deployment of highly scalable systemsFamiliarity with some or all of the following technologies: Python, Prometheus, Redis, Elasticsearch, AWS Aurora, Redshift, Kinesis, EC2, EKS, ECSCompensationThe cash compensation range for this role is $153,000- $202,000Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and certifications.
