Lineworker Apprentice 3 → Lineworker Apprentice
Role: Perform operations, maintenance, construction, and repair of transmission and distribution systems as a Lineman apprentice, progressing to handle energized lines and complex duties under supervision.ResponsibilitiesConstruct, maintain, and inspect overhead and underground electric lines and equipment.Investigate power outages, report hazards, and troubleshoot line issues.Perform work on energized and de-energized lines, including rubber glove work from aerial devices.Operate vehicles, maintain tools and equipment, and adhere to safety protocols.Participate in training and emergency response activities, including call-out duty.Collect delinquent accounts and operate company vehicles following legal and policy standards.Qualifications & SkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent; completion of Department of Labor-approved Lineman Apprenticeship (Apprentice Level 2).Knowledge of hand tools, computer systems, and customer service principles.Skilled in time management, prioritization, climbing poles, and conflict resolution.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.Physical & Work Environment: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and wear protective gear. Must be available for call-outs and emergency restoration, with flexibility for extended hours as needed.
