Uber Freight is a fast growing business where you would be responsible for holistic financial support - including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for a key piece of our business - partnering with the leaders of these areas in making strategic decisions that accelerate growth and drive higher margins.What The Candidate Will DoThink strategically and then execute - the models we build aid in decision making and strategy (e.g. using customer profitability to influence capital allocation and strategy shifts) - we operationalize our insightsLead a team - supervise a group of financial analysts engaged in monthly forecasting and close, as well as annual budget process for our your assigned area of the businessPartner across the business - build relationships with senior commercial, operations, and support leaders around the company and collaborate with them to execute our strategyAnalyze variances between actuals, forecast, and plan - use insights to iterate on forecasts and create actionSophisticated financial modeling - build models from scratch, improve existing models, break complex models down into components that consolidate - you can do it allHelp us scale / transition from startup to enterprise - Part of this is maturing our planning processes, part is ensuring finance best practices spread through the organizationInnovate - we will push the boundaries beyond traditional forecasting. Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill setsBasic QualificationsBachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics3-5 years in FP&A/StratFin at a large enterprise or startupPreferred QualificationsExperience in the transportation industryElite Excel or Google Sheets skillsWorking knowledge of enterprise-level financial planning systemsStrong working knowledge of GAAPExcellent communication and people skills Strong attention to detail MBA, CFA or CPASQL/PowerBI/Tableau skillsBenefits & Compensation For U.S. EmployeesEmployees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more.
