We specialize in the movement of barges along the Lower Mississippi River and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. With our growing fleet of tow boats, we have set the bar with our unwavering commitment to quality, performance and exceptional customer service since 2005.Tankerman job duties include but not limited to:Prepare barges that are assigned to his boat for safe and complete loading or discharging of oil, refined, and petrochemical cargoes, and/or vapor recovery.Responsible for makingcertain that any and all federal and state required documents that mustaccompany the barges is on board and in proper order.Communicates with dockpersonnel and insure that each person participating in the transfer of productunderstands what the product is and how it should be transferred and protected.Performs maintenance of the boat and bargesHelps with training of employees aspiring to become a Tankerman.Handles lines and rigging during tow building, fleeting, locking and docking activities.Ensures barges are moored safely, prior to commencing any transfers, and monitors/adjusts mooring lines throughout transfer.Monitors tank level, void spaces, alarms, barge drafts, and tank level indicators during cargo operations.Adhere to and comply with company policies, United States Coast Guard, and environmental polices.*Tankerman work schedules consists of 28/14 or 20/10.*Competitive Day RatesCredentials Needed:Valid Driver's LicenseValid TWICValid MMCBenefits:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401k w/ Company MatchLife InsuranceStdLtdSupplemental PoliciesSafety Award ProgramLongevity Rate Increase After 3 Years*Please be sure all required information & attachments are uploaded before submitting the application.For more information about our company please visit our website @ https://www.d-smarine.com or contact a recruiter today @ 985-873-3190.https://dsmarineservicellc.easyapply.co
