This person will play a key role in preconstruction, helping us pursue and win complex ground up projects with a strong focus on industrial and large scale commercial work.We are looking for someone who understands how to price work that actually gets built. Someone who can see a set of plans, understand the risks, and build a real strategy around it. This is a high visibility role with direct impact on the work we take on and how we grow in the region.What You’ll DoLead estimating efforts for ground up construction projects, with an emphasis on industrial, tilt up, and large commercial buildsAnalyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate and competitive estimatesBuild detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing models from conceptual through GMP stagesManage subcontractor outreach, leveling, and bid analysisWork closely with operations, project management, and leadership to align on strategy and executionIdentify risks, gaps, and opportunities early in the preconstruction phaseParticipate in client presentations and help position Uprite as a trusted builderWhat You'll Bring7 plus years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractorStrong experience with ground up construction, especially industrial projects such as tilt up warehouses, distribution centers, or large scale concrete structuresProven ability to lead estimates independently from early concept through final pricingDeep understanding of construction means and methods, especially related to structural systems and site workStrong relationships with subcontractors in the Southern California market is a plusComfortable working in a fast moving environment with a high level of ownershipAbout UsUprite Construction was established in 1991 as a multi-service construction company specializing in project site development, ground-up, new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements for the commercial and industrial sectors.
