Production SupervisorPosition OverviewThe Production Supervisor oversees daily operations on the manufacturing floor of a food and beverage facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role focuses on meeting production targets, enforcing food safety and GMP standards, coaching frontline personnel, and driving continuous improvement to optimize throughput and reduce waste.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead production teams to meet daily production, quality, and safety targets in a food manufacturing environment.Plan, schedule, and allocate resources and personnel to ensure smooth workflow and on-time product delivery.Ensure strict compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF/BRC as applicable) and company sanitation procedures.Conduct on-the-job training, performance coaching, and development for operators and technicians to maintain high skill levels and safety awareness.Monitor production processes and product quality, perform inspections, and take corrective actions to resolve deviations or non-conformances.Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.Maintain accurate production records, prepare shift reports, and communicate key metrics to operations management.Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to resolve equipment, quality, or material issues quickly.Enforce workplace safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence.Support inventory control and raw material handling, including FIFO practices and traceability for food safety.Participate in new product introductions, process trials, and changeovers to support product launch and optimization.Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on production experience in food and beverage manufacturingStrong knowledge of food safety systems and regulatory requirements (HACCP, GMP, SQF/BRC) and experience implementing compliance controls.Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop front-line staff.Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) and process optimization.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong commitment to food quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, with attention to detail and a proactive safety mindset.Benefits- Medical Dental and Vision- 401k- Bonus!
