Core Oracle Architecture
Legacy Modernization: Proven track record of re-architecting monolithic database systems into modern solutions
Years of Experience: 10+ Years
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Oracle Engineer to modernize the architecture of a 16-year-old mission-critical computing engine. This is not a standard Data Engineer role; we need a Core App Developer capable of rebuilding a monolithic engine to handle a 10x load increase (billions of records) using native Exadata capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Engine Re-engineering: Deconstruct legacy monolithic logic and re-architect it into a high-performance engine optimized for Exadata storage cells .
High-Volume Computing: Develop advanced PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and Collections to handle complex mathematical calculations and millions of computing records.
Exadata Optimization: Implement Smart Scans (Bulk Scans) and specific Exadata utilities to ensure sub-second performance at massive scale.
Performance Tuning: Fine-tune deep business logic and architecture to eliminate bottlenecks in legacy Oracle code during the migration to Exadata.
Technical Requirements
Exadata Mastery: Extensive experience with Exadata-specific architecture, utilities, and performance-tuning techniques.
Expert PL/SQL: Deep expertise in building complex calculation engines, not just moving data.
Core Oracle Architecture: Strong understanding of Oracle internals and how to optimize I/O and memory for high-concurrency environments.
Legacy Modernization: Proven track record of re-architecting aging, monolithic database systems into scalable, modern solutions.
