We are committed to proven, repeatable corporate quality management processes and are certified CMMI Maturity Level III - Development/Services & ISO 9001:2015.ESN is seeking an IT Specialist - Power Apps DeveloperLocated onsite at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA.We are seeking a motivated IT professional with experience in Microsoft Power Apps to support the Carrier Planning Activity (CPA) at Norfolk Naval Shipyard to join our Digital Innovation Team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining low-code applications that enhance maintenance planning, availability tracking, and workflow efficiency for aircraft carrier modernization and sustainment efforts.This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career or transitioning from military service into application development.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps) to support shipyard planning processesAutomate workflows and approvals using Power AutomateSupport data integration with SharePoint, Dataverse, and other Microsoft 365 toolsCollaborate with planners, engineers, and project managers to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly solutionsAssist in tracking maintenance schedules, work packages, and availability metricsTroubleshoot application issues and provide end-user supportDocument systems, workflows, and standard operating proceduresRequired Qualifications1-3+ years of experience in IT, application development, or related fieldHands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps and/or Power AutomateFamiliarity with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Excel)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a team supporting operational environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting Navy, shipyard, or maintenance planning environmentsKnowledge of aircraft carrier maintenance, availability, or planning processesFamiliarity with Power BI or basic data visualizationPrior military service, especially in engineering, reactors, or maintenance planning rolesMicrosoft Power Platform certifications (PL-100, PL-200)Why Join This TeamDirectly support aircraft carrier readiness and modernization effortsGain hands-on experience in a high-impact Navy maintenance environmentOpportunity to grow into advanced Power Platform and data rolesWorking alongside experienced planners, engineers, and IT professionalsSalary: $62000 - $68000 per yearJob Posted by ApplicantPro
