Planning and Scheduling Engineer

Position OverviewOur client is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Engineer II to support a large-scale ERP and SAP transformation initiative impacting supply chain and operations across the Americas. This role will support the Business Readiness team and be responsible for planning, schedule development, resource coordination, progress tracking, and readiness activities in advance of a major phased rollout beginning in 2027.The successful candidate will work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Project teams to ensure project schedules, reporting, and business readiness efforts are aligned with overall execution strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules supporting ERP, SAP, and business readiness initiativesSupport resource planning and scheduling activities, including updates and modifications to resource plans and schedules as business needs evolveMonitor schedule performance, identify trends, forecast potential impacts, and communicate risks or deviations to project stakeholdersPrepare and compile weekly and monthly schedule, progress, and status reports for project leadership and managementCreate reporting and dashboards that translate complex project data into clear, concise information for management reviewBuild and maintain progress measurement systems aligned with project scope, milestones, and execution plansCoordinate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Project Controls to support project executionSupport business readiness and change management activities associated with system implementation across multiple regionsReview project schedules for completeness, logic, level of detail, interfaces, and consistency with overall project objectivesAssist with development of contract control schedules, key milestones, and schedule forecasting activitiesRespond to ad hoc schedule, reporting, and project controls requests from project leadershipParticipate in capturing and documenting lessons learned related to schedule, progress, and business readiness activitiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or a related fieldExperience in project controls, planning, scheduling, business readiness, or operational transformation environmentsStrong proficiency with Smartsheet and Microsoft ExcelExperience developing schedules, tracking progress, and preparing management-level reportingStrong analytical skills with the ability to organize and communicate complex information effectivelyStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groupsAbility to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting ERP or SAP implementations, system integrations, or large process transitionsBackground in supply chain, procurement, warehouse operations, or operations readinessExperience with Power BI or similar reporting and data visualization toolsPrior experience in oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, chemical, or other large industrial environments
