Manufacturing Electrical Engineer

Job Description Manufacturing Engineer This position plays a key role in maintaining and improving our wire processing, lead forming, and electronic packaging operations. Key Responsibilities * Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot/repair wire processing, lead trimming/forming, and electronic packaging equipment * Drive and lead continuous improvement activities * Develop, prepare, and maintain documentation related to manufacturing processes, system operations, product development, and other technical processes * Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve production efficiency and product quality, focusing on: * * Scrap reduction * Cycle time reduction * Downtime reduction * First Pass Yield (FPY) improvement * Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) increase * Warranty PPM reduction * Collect and analyze production line data to support decision-making and process improvements * Support quality initiatives and collaborate with teams to develop methods that enhance product quality * Design, implement, and maintain procedures that ensure efficient manufacturing practices for wire/cable assemblies and component services * Create and update documentation to accurately reflect product or process changes * Assist with developing manufacturing workflows, line layouts, and floor plans Qualifications / Skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, and operating/service manuals * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite * Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) * Strong structured problem-solving and critical thinking skills * High attention to detail and accuracy * Experience running and maintaining computer-controlled electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment * Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities * Proficiency in electronics manufacturing assembly processes * Experience with ISO 9000/9001 standards and Quality Management Systems Education / Experience * Technical degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) * 1-5 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment Benefits * Competitive compensation * Company-subsidized Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance * Dental, vision, and Aflac insurance options * 401(k) plan with company matching * Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Company Description Labor Solutions, LLC is a leader in the professional, temporary, and direct hire industry throughout the Midwest area.
