POSITION: Wellness Center Manager
DEPARTMENT: Wellness Center
HOURS: Full-time/Exempt
WAGE RANGE: $31.33 - $40.28
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Wellness Center Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center, ensuring a positive, welcoming, and high-quality experience for all members and guests. This role provides hands-on leadership for staff, oversees daily facility operations, and plays a key role in member retention, service excellence, and the continued growth and advancement of wellness services to meet the evolving needs of the community. The Wellness Center Manager works closely with the Vice President of Support Services to support strategic priorities while maintaining a strong operational focus on consistency, culture, and member satisfaction.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in health-related field or equivalent experience
CPR certification obtained within 6 months of hire
SKILL(S):
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on member experience and retention
Ability to build and maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Ability to maintain confidentiality of business and member information
Demonstrated ethical conduct and professionalism
Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff through change
Demonstrated initiative and accountability
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of related experience in fitness, wellness, recreation, or similar environment
Preferred:
1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
Experience managing staff schedules, daily operations, and customer-facing services
