Job SummaryThe main duty of a Project Manager (PM) is to estimate and manage HVACR, plumbing, and mechanical projects from conception to completion, while monitoring compliance with G.E. Mechanical quality and safety standards and all applicable regulations.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimating, cost analysis, bid reviews and document management primarily for commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systemsCreating competitive and accurate estimates to achieve margin, sales goals, and financial targetsUtilize centralized cost estimating models to ensure current and strategic pricing data is used during proposal developmentFollow-up with potential clients to finalize the work agreementExecute projects to the standard set by G.E. MechanicalCoordinate with Construction Coordinator to obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authoritiesSchedule and manage resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitationsDevelop, coordinate and track project schedulesAcquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequaciesSupervise and interface with team members to ensure projects are delivered per estimates, as well as guiding technicians to provide necessary information to complete estimates when a site visit is not feasibleIdentify resources, assign workloads and manage schedules to ensure timely deliveriesAddress business inquiries from customer and team members in a professional mannerEvaluate progress and prepare detailed reportsCollaborate across functions to manage cost and price factors influencing customer acquisition, retention, and revenueEnsure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issuesProcess client invoicing promptlyGenerating leads and new customersMeeting all key performance metrics and sales/profit goalsIdentify areas of improvements and concerns in his or her field team and accordingly develop action plansEnsure that team work in compliance with company policies and proceduresMinimum QualificationsEducation/ExperienceDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field OR2 years' experience in project management and/or estimating in construction, mechanical, or related industryPreferred Qualifications3+ years' experience with HVAC and plumbing equipment estimates and projectsPossess skill and understanding in conceptual estimatingIn-depth understanding of estimating & construction procedures and material and project management principlesCommunication and negotiation skillsAttention to detail and organizationAbility to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan setsAdvanced understanding of risk management policies and proceduresExperience managing budgets and schedules for construction projectsAbility to work as a team playerVerbal & written communication skillsAdvanced knowledge of estimating software, strategies and techniquesProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & OutlookBenefits401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insuranceWork Location: In personJ-18808-Ljbffr
