The firms collaborative culture and dedication to understanding and addressing client needs make it a trusted partner for navigating legal challenges and achieving successful outcomes.Requirements:Candidate Must have the following: Minimum 3 years of experience working on complex insurer-side coverage litigation under Commercial General Liability policies within a top tier law firm setting (experience will be current or very recent) ; Direct experience handling clients and adversaries ; Extensive litigation experience on sophisticated legal matters, including exposure to insurance litigation required ; Some experience in representing life insurance companies in cost of insurance litigation and class action defense would be a plus ; Demonstrated ability to draft pleadings, respond to written discovery, gather relevant/requested information from the client, draft and argue substantive motions and briefs.Stellar academic credentials (Law Review and/or Moot Court accolades desired) ; Strong research, verbal & written communication skills required ; NY Bar.Day to Day Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Representing a diverse clientele in state and federal court litigation, through trial and appeal, as well as in mediation and arbitration.Drafting and preparing motions and papers and other litigation documents.Formulating legal strategy.Conducting legal research.Aiding with complex insurer-side coverage litigation under Commercial General Liability policiesDefending/taking fact witness depositions with limited supervision.Arguing substantive motions and briefs.Conducting legal research and writing memoranda.Drafting complex case analyses and preparing briefs, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.Responding to discovery (documents, written discovery, depositions).Working with clients, witnesses, experts and other counsel.Managing document production.Supporting the team by performing work on other litigation-related matters as needed.
