Biscayne Bvld, Suite 215-16, Miami Shores, FL 33238The Direct Action and Research Training Center (DART) is a national network of 26 local Justice Ministry Organizations who in turn engage hundreds of congregations who are building the power of organized people to "do justice". We are united in our conviction to hold local leaders (both public and private sectors) accountable for the fair treatment of all people, especially the poor, the widow, the orphan and the migrant. We are looking for a smart, committed, and detail-oriented candidate to join our team to assist the organization in managing the administrative operations of the organization.Primary responsibilities:Manage the organization's email, phone, and written mailAssist with the organization's financial records by making deposits and assist with preparing reportsAssist with grant writing and reportsEnsure that the office is physically set up for success with essential suppliesPrepare materials for organizational events and mailings as assignedAttend and help prepare for organizational eventsAssist organizing staff in making reminder phone calls for key eventsMaintain database of organizational contactsAssist staff with communicationsEssential skills and characteristics:Core passion for justice and equityExcellent verbal and written communicationExperience with Microsoft Office and Google WorkspaceAbility to work both collaboratively and independentlyAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlinesComfort working with faith communities and a genuine respect for the faith traditions of othersGrant writing experience preferred but not requiredIdeal candidates will have relevant skills and experience (not necessarily in the non-profit arena), but we will consider entry level candidates with strong volunteer leadership.The DART Center is a diverse network that includes communities of color, low-to-moderate-income communities and immigrant communities.
