Marlow East, a modern American restaurant on the Upper East Side, is seeking motivated and hospitality-driven Barback to join our team. Our concept is rooted in seasonal, ingredient-forward modern American cuisine, paired with a thoughtful and refined beverage program. The bar reflects that same philosophy—clean, intentional cocktails, a focused wine list, and an elevated yet approachable guest experience. As a Barback, you play a critical role in supporting the bar team and ensuring service runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the bar, supporting bartenders during service, and helping create a seamless experience for guests. We’re looking for individuals who are reliable, organized, and eager to grow within a high-level hospitality environment. Experience in a busy bar or restaurant setting is preferred. Responsibilities include: • Supporting bartenders during service with speed and awareness • Restocking liquor, glassware, ice, and bar supplies throughout the shift • Maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar at all times • Assisting with bar prep, including garnishes, batching, and setup • Handling opening and closing duties efficiently • Supporting floor staff when needed to ensure overall service flow This role requires the ability to work quickly under pressure, stay organized in a high-volume environment, and anticipate the needs of the team.
