Quality Technician

Position: Quality Technician Location: Hebron, KY Pay Rate: $20.50/hour Shift: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 2:30PM Position Summary Support the Quality team in executing day-to-day responsibilities, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and assisting in special projects as needed. Employees are expected to demonstrate strong core values and foster a positive culture through interactions with co-workers and guests. Key Responsibilities and Priorities * Promote safety culture through safety toolbox talks, safety committee participation, and positive reinforcement programs * Ensure compliance with process/final inspection requirements * Familiarity with FAI (First Article Inspection) * Perform finished goods audits * Ensure compliance with incoming material (receiving) inspection requirements * Document, file, and communicate inspection/testing results * Utilize test equipment: calipers, tape measure, comparator, tensile test machines, hardness testers, and other lab equipment * Read/interpret drawings, routers (work orders), bills of material, and other part documentation and directives * Respond to emails regarding product and quality concerns from internal correspondence * Ensure proper military part inspection using MIL specifications and sampling documents * Ensure accuracy of all data collected and entered * NMR/NCR (Non-Conforming Material Report) process * MRB (Material Review Board) process * 5S, Kanban, and continuous improvement activities * 2+ years of experience in a quality-focused role within a manufacturing environment * Intermediate or higher aptitude with D-365 (ERP software) and MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Desired Skills * Strong written and verbal communication * Organized with high attention to detail * Strong problem-solving skills * Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (5-Why, 8D, etc.) * Knowledge of pre-production testing, PPAP process * Ability to set up test machines with minimal instructions
