Infection Prevention Manager

Job Summary: The Manager of Infection Prevention directs and coordinates the infection control program in the hospital.The Manager oversees and is responsible for surveillance, rounding, analyzing, interpreting and the reporting of healthcare associated infections.Supports the development of evidence-based organizational infection prevention policies/standards that meet state, federal, regulatory and accrediting agencies standards.The Manager trains healthcare members in infection prevention, is a leader in infection prevention and serves as a resource, educator, researcher and proponent of change in order to influence infection prevention improvement to provide quality health care within the organization.The Manager will be given the authority to implement and enforce the Surveillance, Prevention and Control Program policies, coordinate all infection prevention and control within the hospital and facilitate ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of prevention and/or control activities and interventions. Required Skills, Experience, Certifications:4-year Bachelor's Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.ASCP Certification OR PA RN License OR another clinical license or cert in lieu of an RN license or ASCP certification.
