Shipping and Receiving Associate

OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving processes, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision, safety, and teamwork.ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and reach trucksVerify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and packing listsOperate ERP for inventory tracking and order processingPrepare packages for shipment, including labeling, wrapping, and securing goodsEnsure proper storage of received items in designated warehouse locationsMaintain accurate records of all shipments and receiptsAssist with order fulfillment, picking, packing, and staging products for delivery or storageConduct regular inventory counts and report discrepanciesFollow safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or damageSkillsProven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related rolesAbility to operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment safelyExperience with order picking, order fulfillment, packaging, and load & unload proceduresStrong basic math skills for inventory counting and measurementsExcellent organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracyGood communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisorsThis role is vital for maintaining smooth warehouse operations through precise shipping and receiving activities.
