NPI Procurement Lead (Beaverton)
Position Title: NPI Procurement Specialist – Procurement LeadRole OverviewThe NPI Procurement Specialist – Procurement Lead is a key member of the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization and serves as the primary Procurement/Supply Chain lead on assigned NPI programs. This role partners closely with Product Line Design Engineering, Program Management, and cross‑functional teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies that support cost, quality, and schedule objectives from product concept through transition to mass production.The Procurement Lead is accountable for identifying and managing supply chain risks, supporting program business cases, and establishing a strong supply chain foundation for the full product lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesNPI Program LeadershipServe as the primary Supply Chain/Procurement representative on assigned NPI Core Teams.Actively participate in NPI program and Core Team meetings, ensuring supply chain issues, risks, and actions are documented, communicated, and driven to closure.Supply Chain Risk ManagementProactively identify, assess, and track supply chain risks throughout the NPI lifecycle, from early concept through the SP milestone.Typical risks include new supplier introductions, problem parts, NRTL/NRT status, supplier readiness, and capacity constraints.Develop and execute mitigation plans aligned with program schedules and milestones.SCOS (standard cost) and Business Case SupportPerform initial JOP SCOS assessments and support early direct material cost estimation to enable program business case development.Maintain SCOS roll‑ups throughout the NPI process, identifying gaps to targets and implementing countermeasures as needed.Legal and Supplier EnablementCoordinate with Program Management and functional stakeholders to identify required legal agreements and licensing needs (e.g., NDAs, IP, technology access).Support sourcing, contracting, and qualification of new suppliers while managing business, IP, and confidentiality risks.Communication and ReportingPrepare and present procurement and supply chain updates for assigned NPI programs during GSC NPI report‑out meetings.Communicate risks, status, and recommendations clearly to engineering, operations, and management audiences.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.Minimum of 5 years of supply chain or procurement experience supporting new product development; Test & Measurement or high‑technology experience preferred.Demonstrated experience with product costing, benchmarking, BOM development, and manufacturing planning.Skills And CapabilitiesStrong ability to assess supply chain risk and implement mitigation plans within aggressive development schedules.Solid project management skills with the ability to adjust priorities as program needs evolve.Proven experience aligning engineering requirements with commodity and sourcing strategies.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.Effective collaborator with the ability to influence across functions.Experience with Oracle ERP or comparable ERP systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Other RequirementsWillingness to support modest global travel.Availability for frequent evening calls with SEA suppliers.APICS or ISM‑CPSM certification preferred.Ralliant Corporation OverviewRalliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
