Senior HVAC Service Technician & Comfort Advisor (Houston, TX)Position Summary $24-26 hourly rate + bonus and commission The Senior HVAC Service Technician & Field Sales Lead is a hybrid role combining technical expertise, sales ability, and leadership. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality residential HVAC service while supporting revenue growth and team development in a newly established Houston market.This role requires an experienced technician capable of diagnosing and resolving most residential HVAC issues, along with strong consultative sales skills to recommend repairs, upgrades, and full system replacements. As a foundational hire in a new market, this individual must be self-motivated, able to work independently, represent the company professionally, and help build the Houston operation from the ground up.Key Responsibilities Residential HVAC Service & Diagnostics Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, and furnacesIdentify root causes of system issues and recommend effective repair or replacement solutionsComplete service calls with a high level of technical accuracy, efficiency, and professionalismEnsure all work meets company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codesSales, Repairs & System Replacement Consulting Serve as a selling technician, presenting repair, upgrade, and replacement options directly to homeownersConduct in-home consultations using a "good, better, best" solution approachIdentify opportunities for full system replacement based on system age, condition, and performancePrepare, present, and close estimates for repairs, upgrades, and system replacementsLeadership & Market Development Grow into the lead technician role for the Houston market, setting standards for quality and professionalismAssist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new techniciansProvide field-level technical support and guidance to team membersAct as a liaison between field operations and company leadershipOperational Responsibilities Coordinate with corporate leadership and support teams (CSR, dispatch, and installation teams) to manage service routes, scheduling, and prioritiesMaintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory in accordance with company standardsCommunicate effectively with dispatch, office staff, and leadershipRequirements & Qualifications 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience with strong diagnostic skillsAvailability to work evenings and weekends as neededProven track record in selling repairs, upgrades, and system replacementsStrong communication and customer service skillsSelf-starter with leadership potentialEPA Section 608 Certification and applicable HVAC licenses preferredExperience with CRM systems such as ServiceTitanValid driver's license with a clean driving recordTDLR registration
