Machine Operator - Weekend only (Swing shift)

We are looking for a Machine Operator (Contract Position) to join one of our clients in medical device industry in Fremont, CA for Swing shift. This is Weekend Shift only role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Read, follow operate production equipment Work at different workstations as production needs require Meet productivity and quality goals while maintaining line balance Maintain clean and orderly workstation Use and read measuring devices, i.e., rulers, calipers, micrometers, thermometers, gauges, etc. and perform self-inspection on all process steps Communicate problems to supervisor or lead Communicate the need for production operating supplies Participate in improvement activities related to process or safety Complete required basic production, health, safety and environmental hazard training courses Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance Proficient in and ability to demonstrate basic computer skill set. (i.e., use of MS Word, Excel, etc.) EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Technical diploma or equivalent; 0 to 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES: Ability to read and comprehend / interpret equipment operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, documentation, and/or memos Ability to write clear / legible / accurate data and correspondence Ability to present, effectively within a group and/or individual setting, information to peers and/or management representatives. Ability to read, write, understand, English Demonstrate basic math skill set including calculation of percentages Ability to interpret basic charts and bar graphs Ability to apply common sense to job function Ability to be self-directed and/or work within a team based environment with minimal supervision Job Type: Contract Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
