You'll report to the VP of Engineering and lead our frontend team (currently 3, scaling to 5+). You'll shape technical direction, ship product, and raise the bar — not manage from a distance.We're giving you significant responsibility and expecting you to run with it.What you'll doOwn the frontend experience end-to-end across web and mobile (Angular + Ionic) — from problem shaping through productionDrive complex features: dig into the problem, design the approach, ship fast, and iterate based on real usageSet and evolve technical direction — architecture, patterns, tooling, and developer experiencePartner with product and design to define solutions, not just execute specsWrite a lot of code — this is a hands-on role first, leadership secondMentor engineers and build a team culture of quality, speed, and ownershipHow we workWe're a small team that values clear thinking over heavy process. We use LLMs daily for coding, debugging, automated code reviews, design doc reviews, and we're building internal tooling to push this further in and out of the Engineering team. We're looking for someone who treats AI as a force multiplier and actively helps the team get meaningfully better at it — not just a passive user.What we're looking forProven track record shipping complex user-facing products (web + mobile ideal)Strong product instincts — you push back when something doesn't feel right for the userDeep TypeScript fundamentals (component architecture, state management, performance)Experience mentoring engineers and setting team standardsComfort with ambiguity: you can take a rough problem and turn it into a shipped solutionPragmatic judgment on architecture vs. shipping and learningOur stack is Angular + Ionic.
