Area Manager📍 Los Angeles, CA💰 Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 + Monthly Bonus Potential🏢 Multifamily | Owner-Operator PlatformAbout the OpportunityOur client is a growing multifamily owner-operator with a portfolio of more than 100 apartment communities and 3,800+ units across Southern California.They are seeking an Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of apartment communities totaling approximately 250-300 units. This is an excellent opportunity for a Property Manager or Community Manager looking to expand into a multi-site leadership role with greater ownership and earning potential.The position offers direct exposure to operations, leasing, maintenance coordination, resident relations, and financial performance across multiple assets.The RoleThe Area Manager will serve as the operational leader for an assigned portfolio, ensuring strong occupancy, resident satisfaction, property appearance, and financial performance.Key responsibilities include:Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple apartment communitiesDrive leasing activity, occupancy, and resident retentionManage rent collections and delinquency processesCoordinate maintenance teams, vendors, and unit turnsHandle resident relations, escalations, and conflict resolutionConduct regular property inspections and ensure curb appeal standards are maintainedMonitor budgets, expenses, and property performance metricsPartner with corporate leadership to execute operational initiativesEnsure compliance with company policies and fair housing standardsQualifications2+ years of multifamily property management experienceExperience managing apartment communities, leasing activity, and resident relationsStrong understanding of collections, occupancy management, and property operationsExperience coordinating maintenance teams and vendorsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesCompensation & Benefits$60,000 - $70,000 base salaryMonthly leasing and occupancy bonusesPotential to earn up to $2,500 per month in additional incentive compensationMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k)HSA/FSA ProgramsVolunteer Time OffTeam Building Events and Company Culture InitiativesThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field, taking ownership of a portfolio, and making a direct impact on property performance.
