Utility WorkerTransdev in Merced, CA is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.
CBA Position: Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement
$17.94 - $22.70 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
Benefits include: Vacation, Paid Sick Leave, Medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays. Benefits may vary depending on location policy. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes
Perform maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.
Report maintenance issues to supervisor
Other duties /special projects as required.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
Physical RequirementsThe essential functions of this position require the ability to:
Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
Sit for extended periods (up to 68 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
