Paint Prep Technician

Westmor is seeking a detail-oriented Paint Prep Technician to join our team. You will ensure surfaces are prepped for painting, maintain equipment, and keep the work area organized.A Paint Prep Technician is responsible for completing the following duties:Surface Preparation: Sand with an air sander, apply sand poly and primer, verify removal of spatter and slag, and apply filler.Measurement and Documentation: Measure and record pre and post sand dry mill thickness using measurement devices, and complete necessary paperwork.Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance on paint prep equipment, clean paint booth and lights, change filters, and organize the paint prep area.Safety and Operation: Identify and mask areas not to be painted, operate tugger, lifts, and other machinery safely, and wear proper safety equipment.Coordination and Organization: Coordinate workflow and maintain a clean, organized paint prep area.CompensationThe starting pay range for this position is $18 - $22 per hour.
