Job Description
This position is responsible for the overall maintenance of their dedicated hotels.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGuest ServiceMaintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the operationPersonally demonstrates a commitment to guest service in responding promptly to guests’ needsCommitted to making every guest is satisfiedMeets or exceeds guest satisfaction measuresEnsures hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest serviceImplements and practices guest service initiatives and performs to Gulph Creek Hotel StandardsChief Engineer DutiesEnsure that room maintenance requests are handled in a prompt and courteous manner.Follow up on all alarms immediately to determine the exact location and cause. Determine emergency status and repair projects.Audit key boxes/logs for all departmentsSupervise and appoint a variety of contractors and existing staff on a number of projects; Obtaining multiple quotes to present to General ManagerManage monthly, quarterly and annual 3rd party contacts to ensure its complete and on time; In compliance with brand standardApproach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Gulph Creek Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.Comply at all times with Gulph Creek standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.Supervise and train all Engineering staff, oversee projects.Coordinate all Engineering staff scheduling to ensure ample coverageCreate and adhere to the annual budget for department.Develop and implement plans to keep property, equipment and grounds in an acceptable state of repair.Coordinate periodic inspection of all safety systems.Accurate and timely completion of paperworkAttend all meetings required and participate in M.O.D program.Perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating/air conditioning ventilation, and water treatment systems.Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance program for all guestroomsCreate and implement preventive maintenance program for all hotel equipment.Follow and enforce procedures that ensure the security of inventory.Assist in education/training employees on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and safety regulationsInform management of hazardous situations, emergencies or threats to the security of guests, employees or hotel assets.Other duties as required.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESManages and directs staff including recruitment, selection and development to achieve Company goals and objectives.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
