Senior AWS Cloud Engineer/DevOps

Objectives of this Role: Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solution for the company Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance Provide guidance, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design Lead designing architecture and implementation of apps utilizing cloud services What You'll be Doing: Participating in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including planning, requirements, development, and testing Troubleshooting incidents, identifying root cause, fixing and documenting problems, and implementing preventative measures Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity What You'll Bring to the Table: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or mathematics 3+ years of experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platform Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server or any other) HTML5, JavaScript, and Angular Experience with AWS ELB load balancer Experience with AWS Redis and Elastic Experience with MS SQL Server Experience with Jenkins Experience with Jira and Bitbucket Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-achitected frameworks Ability to empathize with our users and champion for their experience. Strong communication and technical writing skills Experience with Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, Visual Studio, JIRA, and other tools that are typically used by developers on Microsoft technology stack.
