We embrace a hybrid work culture built on accountability, results, and exceptional client service delivered by professional, motivated individuals.Position SummaryThe Assurance Manager will work closely with Audit & Assurance leadership to manage client engagements, lead fieldwork, and support team development. This role requires strong technical expertise, effective project management, and a client-focused mindset.The Assurance Manager serves as a key point of contact for clients and plays a critical role in delivering high-quality audit and assurance services while identifying opportunities to add value through cross-functional collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesEngagement ManagementManage audit and assurance engagements from planning through completionCoordinate timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple engagementsReview staff workpapers and ensure accuracy, completeness, and complianceCommunicate engagement status, risks, and key issues to senior leadershipEnsure timely completion of deliverables and resolution of review notesTechnical ExecutionPlan and perform audit and assurance procedures, including risk assessment and testingPrepare and review financial statements and related disclosuresApply GAAP and relevant auditing standards to client engagementsResearch and resolve technical accounting and auditing issuesIdentify opportunities to improve audit quality and efficiency through technologyClient ServiceBuild and maintain strong client relationshipsServe as a primary point of contact for day-to-day client communicationsUnderstand client operations, systems, and industry trendsRespond to client inquiries in a timely and professional mannerIdentify cross-selling opportunities across Tax, CAS, Consulting, and other service linesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise, mentor, and develop staff and seniorsDelegate work effectively and provide ongoing feedbackSupport training initiatives and encourage professional developmentFoster a collaborative and high-performance team environmentProcess Improvement & CollaborationContribute to process improvements and workflow efficienciesUtilize firm technology and tools (including AI where applicable) to enhance productivityCollaborate with other departments to deliver integrated client solutionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field requiredActive CPA license required5–8 years of public accounting experience in audit/assurancePrior experience supervising and reviewing staff workStrong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standardsExcellent project management and organizational skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsHigh level of professionalism and client service orientationExperience with CCH Engagement, Knowledge Coach, and ARM is a plusTravelAbility to travel to client sites as neededCompensationCompetitive and commensurate with experienceWhy Talley?Collaborative, entrepreneurial cultureExposure to a diverse and sophisticated client baseOpportunity for growth and advancementIntegration across tax, legal, and consulting servicesCommitment to innovation, including the use of emerging technologies
