Job Description:Opportunity: Physician - Hematology/Oncology Job Details: Full-time coverage with 5 clinic days per week in 8-hour day shiftsClinic hours from 8:00 AM with first patient at 8:15/8:30 AM and last patient at 3:30 PMAverage 15 patients per day treating adult hematology and oncology patients60% Hematology and 40% Oncology patient mix including solid tumor oncology, benign hematology, and malignant hematologyWeekend coverage 2 weekends per month and night call 10 days per month in 1:2 call rotationWeeknight call from 4:15 PM to 8:00 AM with typically 2-3 patient calls between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM24-hour weekend call coverage including 2 hours gratis rounding on Saturday/SundayConsulting service only with hospitalists managing admissionsAccess to 14-chair infusion center onsite with 2-bed infusion room and oncology-certified nursing staffOnsite radiation oncology services and pharmacist support availableParticipation in disease-specific and general tumor boardsEPIC EMR system with support from 1.3 Hem/Onc physicians onsite and 3 APPsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology with minimum 1 year experience requiredDEA and PA license or IMLC requiredMinimum 6-month commitment with ongoing need starting July 27, 2026Facility: This community hospital serves as a comprehensive healthcare provider offering specialized oncology and hematology services to the local rural community.
