CDL Class A- Feed Mill OperatorThe Feed Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering poultry feed to farms while ensuring accurate weighing, loading, and unloading of bulk feed. This role requires a valid Driver's License CDL and adherence to DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards. The driver will perform vehicle inspections, operate material handling equipment, and provide courteous service to farm staff, supporting efficient and reliable feed delivery operations.Essential Job FunctionsSafely operate company trucks to deliver and pick up poultry feedWeigh, load, and unload bulk feed using proper equipment and proceduresPerform vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and complete required reportsEnsure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulationsMaintain delivery documentation and logs accuratelyProvide professional and courteous customer service during deliveriesAssist with other farm operations tasks as assignedOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsValid driver's license with a clean driving record2+ years of experience operating a vehicleAbility to weigh, load, and safely transport bulk feedKnowledge of DOT, OSHA, and company safety requirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basisWillingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (hot, cold, wet)Ability to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on production demandPreferred QualificationsExperience in agricultural or feed delivery logisticsFamiliarity with farm operations and safety practicesBasic mechanical knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting and maintenanceWork EnvironmentThis position involves prolonged periods of driving and sitting, along with operating material handling equipment. Work is primarily outdoors and requires exposure to extreme weather conditions, including heat and cold. Local travel between farms is required, with occasional additional deliveries to nearby locations. The role demands strict adherence to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and the ability to handle potentially hazardous materials responsibly.
