As a member of the Optometry team, you will assist and support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. This role includes both front and back office responsibilities and plays a vital part in ensuring smooth clinic operations.In this role, you will:Escort patients and record vital signsClean and prepare exam roomsMaintain equipment and infection control standardsAssist patients in selecting frames and preparing optical lab ordersPerform administrative tasks including inventory, insurance processing, and recordkeepingSupport reception duties such as patient registration and appointment schedulingParticipate in quality assurance activities and emergency supply checksTrain new staff and comply with all MACT policiesWhat You Need:High School Diploma or equivalentOptical Laboratory Technician Certificate preferredCurrent CPR certification preferredExperience in a medical setting preferredMust pass Occupational Health ScreeningAdditional Skills & KnowledgeUnderstanding of universal precautions and sterile processesFamiliarity with optometric tools and equipmentKnowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentialityAbility to assist patients with forms and clerical tasksAppreciation for American Indian traditions and customsAmerican Indian Preference Preference in filling this vacancy will be given to qualified American Indian applicants in accordance with the Indian Preference Act (Title 25, U.S. Code, Sections 472 & 473) and Public Law 93-638.
