We have an amazing opportunity for a driven and curious Project Engineer focused on civil design to support our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for sustainable design, building and maintaining client relationships and directing quality management processes to ensure work remains on track. The Project Engineer should be able to delegate work to design engineers, as he/she leverages and promotes each team member's strengths, in search to create added value to our services. This candidate should be prepared to work on projects throughout the country and internationally. Minimum SkillsTypically 6+ years of industry experienceLicenciate's degree in Civil EngineeringExtensive experience with Site Grading, Earthwork Calculations, Road Design, Drainage (Calculations & Reports), Utility Layout & Sizing, Technical Report Writing for different types of projects (industrial, residential, hospitality)Proficiency in Civil 3D and knowledge of other civil programs (Infraworks, Storm and Sanitary Sewer Analysis, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, etc.)Previous experience in coordinating and leading a design team to accomplish project completionPrevious experience in putting together plan set packages and providing redlines for design engineers and draftersWorks independently under general supervisionExercise sound judgment on design decisions and in application of standard methodsWork with multiple site base files oriented in different coordinate frames and varying unitsCivil infrastructure inspection experienceAbility to travel to other offices/sites as needed (B1 american visa preferred)English proficiency (B2+/C1).Incorporated to CFIAB1 driver's license Preferred SkillsCertifications or other sustainability-oriented accreditation preferredDesign Build project experience, especially those with experience in industrial (process) oriented construction fields.Knowledge of GIS principles Expected OutcomesPlans, designs, and oversees civil engineering projects, such as airports,, buildings, channels, dams, harbors, irrigation systems, pipelines, power plants, railroads, roads, sewage systems,, and water supplyAnalyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projectCalculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data, applying knowledge and techniques of engineering, and advanced mathematicsPrepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projectInspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standardsUse of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents What We OfferFlexible working - with one Friday off every month and hybrid schedulePossibility of working on international projects and with US based teamsBirthday LeavePrivate Health Insurance with Panamerican Life Insurance GroupLearning and Development stipend to use as you see fitFun team events, lunches and happy hours to get to know colleagues outside of workA tangible opportunity to truly help the environment!
