Job Summary

Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills, integrating Montessori and other innovative teaching methods.
Plan and execute daily lesson plans that align with educational standards and individual student needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and nurturing child welfare practices.
Support children’s emotional well-being by providing guidance on social interactions, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation.
Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
Incorporate literacy education activities that enhance reading readiness and language development for toddlers through preschoolers.
Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization in daycare or preschool settings.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to a cohesive educational community.
Support children with diverse needs by applying specialized techniques in special education or early childhood intervention programs.
Lead physical education activities that promote motor skills development and overall health.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, lesson plans, and incident reports as required by licensing standards.
Experience
Candidates should possess prior classroom experience in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or private schools. Experience working with children across different age groups—particularly toddlers and preschoolers—is essential. Familiarity with childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, curriculum development—including Montessori methods—and literacy or math instruction is highly valued. Previous involvement in special education or early intervention programs will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in classroom management strategies, lesson planning, standardized testing administration, tutoring techniques for young learners, and teaching physical education activities. A background in early childhood education or related certifications is preferred to ensure a comprehensive understanding of child welfare standards and best practices in daycare or preschool environments.
