Remote Scrum Master for Air Force Systems - Montgomery, AL | WFH

Job OverviewWe are looking for a passionate and driven Scrum Master to join our esteemed organization. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate and coach Agile teams, steering scrums that underpin the operation and upkeep of enterprise-level Air Force systems. You will be responsible for overseeing project development, ensuring timely and efficient execution and delivery, while managing program operations, including project and risk management. Collaboration with product owners, scrum teams, capability delivery managers, and program managers is vital to this role.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvocate for Agile culture, values, and principles within the team.Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team environment.Collaborate with the Agile Coach to deliver constructive feedback and promote continuous improvement.Organize and facilitate critical meetings and ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews/retrospectives.Manage and review the backlog and in-progress items, ensuring accurate status reporting.Monitor team metrics and regularly communicate project statuses.Take initiative to resolve issues and eliminate blockers.Coordinate with other DevOps teams regarding inter-dependencies.Oversee release management, ensuring compliance with SDLC artifacts, coordinating regression testing, and providing deployment support.Required SkillsIn-depth experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean).A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the role of Scrum Master.Proficiency in identifying potential challenges and mitigating impacts.Ability to effectively manage the needs of multiple stakeholders.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.Familiarity with system flows, interface details, and system infrastructure.An aptitude for recognizing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.Experience in managing and maintaining backlog items.Proven ability to foster a collaborative team environment.Proficient in MS Office applications: Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.QualificationsHigh school diploma with 8 years of IT experience,Associate’s degree with 6 years of IT experience,Bachelor's degree with 4 years of IT experience.Career Growth OpportunitiesWe offer substantial opportunities for professional development and continuous improvement, positioning you to enhance your skills and methodologies alongside Agile Coaches.Company Culture And ValuesOur organization is committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that emphasizes the values of Agile culture.
