This role offers **competitive wages, a consistent Wednesday-Saturday schedule**, and long-term stability within a growing organization.**Key Responsibilities**-Diagnose and Repair:** Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on heavy-duty diesel trucks using advanced diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals (e.g., Cummins Insite, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link).-Preventive Maintenance:** Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, brake adjustments, tire inspections, and chassis lubrication to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance.-Component Repairs:** Repair or replace critical components such as diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and braking systems.-Welding and Fabrication:** Perform minor welding, cutting, or fabrication work to repair or modify frames and components as needed.-Documentation:** Complete accurate service reports, document parts usage, and record maintenance activities for warranty, billing, DOT compliance, and inventory tracking.-Customer Interaction:** Communicate with drivers and fleet managers regarding repairs, recommendations, and service outcomes.-Safety Compliance:** Follow OSHA, DOT, manufacturer, and company safety guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.-Tool & Equipment Management:** Maintain shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and service areas to ensure operational readiness.**Qualifications**-Education:** High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in diesel or heavy-duty truck repair preferred.-Experience**2-5+ years of hands-on heavy-duty diesel truck experience is required**Experience with brands such as Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, or similar-Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and ECM diagnosticsProficiency with diagnostic software and hand/power toolsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics-Soft SkillsStrong problem-solving ability and attention to detailEffective communication and customer service skills-Certifications (Preferred)Manufacturer training (Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Paccar) or ASE Heavy-Duty certifications (T2-T8)-Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50-75 lbs., work under trucks, and perform duties in various shop conditions-LicenseValid driver's license requiredCDL strongly preferred**Employee Benefits**-Competitive wages - be paid your worth-Uniforms provided and professionally cleaned-Tool program available-Tuition assistance for ongoing education and career growth-Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting the first of the month following hire-PTO accrual starting day one-6 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays**-401(k) with company match-Company-paid short-term and long-term disability-Company-paid life insurance-Healthiest You virtual healthcare-PPE reimbursement (safety glasses and safety boots)-Pet insurance-Employee discounts on products and services-Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - free 24/7 access-Paid health and wellness screening*This job description is not designed to cover a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities.
