Help ensure operational readiness of hardware by offering detailed, ongoing feedback.How You Will Make An ImpactIn-depth usage of command-line tools and techniques, both Linux and client-specific.Hardware installation, rack and stack, cabling, provisioning, and decommission. Hardware diagnosis and/or repairsCoordinate with internal Data Center teams on dependent tasks (e.g. Network configuration on a rack that is needed for a new server)Task/ticket managementRack integrationDevice/System configurationSystem troubleshooting with remote engineersDocument installation, repair procedures, and rack layoutsProvide feedback for HW troubleshooting, testing, and installationValidate repair documentation for hardware and configurationsSupport on-site vendor visits by escorting and assistance with internal toolsSpace planningAsset/Inventory ManagementEquipment support RMAAssist in the standardization of hardware for production, tooling, and automationAssist in the development of hardware requirements and specifications Assist with projects (new capacity, as well as retrofits) and repairs throughout DCOther tasks as required to support the service on a local basisWhat You Will Need To SucceedBasic understanding of PC / server hardwareProficiency on the Linux command line with common UNIX tools1-3 years experience with Linux system administration, network administrationDriven, self-motivated work ethicEagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to constant changeFocused, detail oriented, able to manage and analyze technical data from multiple sourcesAbility to dynamically switch between people-oriented and technically-oriented mindsetsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCompensationEstimated Pay Range: $37.86 - $40.00 USDExact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.Our Commitment to Diversity & InclusionAt Milestone we strive to create a workplace that reflects the communities we serve and work with, where we all feel empowered to bring our full, authentic selves to work.
